Radio Veritas Asia 1.0

Radio Veritas Asia (RVA) serves as a distinguished media platform for the Catholic Church, having been established in 1969 under the auspices of the Bishops of Asia. It aligns with the mission of the Federation of Asian Bishops Conferences (FABC) to disseminate the Gospel throughout Asia, facilitating continuous dialogue across various religions and cultures while addressing the needs of marginalized communities.

During a visit to RVA in Manila in 1995, commemorating its Silver Jubilee, Pope Saint John Paul II acknowledged its impact with the words: “The fact that the Gospel is heard in so many of this continent’s languages truly makes Radio Veritas Asia the voice of Asian Christianity.” Currently, RVA connects with Global Asians through its 22 Language Services.

RVA provides a breadth of content designed to enrich and educate its audience, which includes inspiring reflections, motivational messages, comprehensive studies of Scripture, compelling personal stories, daily Mass broadcasts, and various devotional practices. Additionally, it offers relevant news articles, features, and insightful commentaries regarding the Catholic Church.

The platform operates in English alongside 21 Asian languages: Bengali, Chin Falam, Chin Hakha, Chin Tedim, Kachin Jinghpaw, Kachin Lisu, Kachin Rawang, Karen Sgaw, Karen Pwo, Kcho, Khmer, Hindi, Hmong, Mandarin, Myanmar, Sinhala, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, Vietnamese, and Zo.
